By the time he entered Diego Martin Central Secondary school he was making mixtapes to share gladly amongst his classmates during recess time.

He then started collecting music himself to practice at his grandmother (Janet Joseph) birthday parties. While playing at these parties for a mature audience of people he was then introduced to both Old and new genres of music such as Reggae, Soca, Dancehall, Hip-Hop, Chutney, Pop/Rock etc. He then started playing on an internet radio station entitled Hype Radio TT which he gained some experience from and was the start of something big but it eventually closed down.

2014- AGE 14
On January 25th  Gio’s 14th  Birthday- instead of his parents getting him a present he simply asked to do a Dj course. He went on to doing the Dj Course at the Institute of Broadcasting Careers (I.B.C) gaining all the knowledge of the art of Dj Science using turntables and Serato. Being 14 years of age and the captain of his class at IBC raised a lot of heads at the graduation as he stole the show, not only being young but being skillful and passionate at the same time.
After completing the Dj Course he earned his certificate in DJ SCIENCE.
He then entered NEXT 99.1 DJ competition and created history on the airwaves by getting through all the rounds and went on to win the competition with his selections of music and skill all into a 5 minutes set which was also displayed on Television in Trinidad and Tobago on CNMG. 

2014 into 2015- AGE 14/15
Being the Youngest Dj ever to play on a radio station in Trinidad and Tobago, Dj Gio gained followers from all different audiences and Avenues. He won a one year contract on the radio then began playing on overnight Friday 12am-3am and Sunday morning 6am-9am for a year with the assistance of his parents of course. Keep in mind Gio was still in school all this time balancing his music with his school work. His parents and his uncle who is his manager today never let him slack off in his studies, it always had to have a balance between playing at events/ Radio. 

2015 to 2016 - AGE 15/16
As time progressed Gio began marketing himself as the Youngest Most Versatile (Y.M.V) DJ with the help of a guy who started off as a friend and now today is his social media manager (Boomtown868Productions) who is responsible for all his pictures and videos at events etc.
Gio then moved from NEXT 99.1 to Boom Champions 94.1fm- At the time being Boom Champions 94.1 was the leading radio station in Trinidad and Tobago and they requested him so he then moved. His shifts were Friday overnight a 12am-3am alongside Tech Sounds and Saturday 1pm-3pm with Smooth and Dj Karey.

June 2016 - AGE 16
At the Age of 16 Dj Gio was djing at the top clubs in his country at the time such as Aria and Rossco’s while playing in some of the biggest events in the country such as Island Crashers, Out In South, BAE WATCH, BAYSIDE and many others.
He was then on the road Carnival Monday and Tuesday with TRIBE while djing on Strictly Fx truck for celebrities such as Amber Rose, Black China, Omi, Dexta Daps and Charly black.

June 2016 - AGE 16
Gio name was all over and eventually, he then got the call from his dream station 96.1wefm with a better offer and went from Boomchampions 94.1 to 96.1wefm where he is still at currently.  He can be heard Friday 7pm-9pm and Saturday 4pm-7pm Primetime. “Hard work pays off in the long run” was his exact words after gaining all the radio experience he needed.

2017-2018 - AGE 17/18
Gio then graduated from school and eventually got into throwing his own events and now is sponsored by COCA-COLA.

2019-2021 - AGE 21

Gio has since gone onto be an official brand ambassador for Samsung, Digicel and most recently Angostura. You can now hear Gio 12-3pm on 96.1wefm
